How to stop OpenSuse’s Christmas Grub Theme
We’ve all seen it:
That is the Penguin Grub theme and it was there in 10.2 10.3 11.0 and now in 11.1. But it’s not too hard to get rid of.
You can edit gfxboot.cfg in /boot/message and see it more often or not at all. (it has moved to /etc/bootsplash/themes/openSUSE/cdrom/gfxboot.cfg in OpenSuse 11.1)
; penguin theme likelihood (in percent, -1 = auto)
penguin=-1
-1 = random
0 = do not display
50 = half the time
etc. etc.
