I&#039;m curious why you&#039;re recommending use of the Synaptic Package Manager past step 1.  I find it much simpler to just &quot;sudo apt-get install &quot;, and believe it better to promote that simplicity.

Also, I was a little unsure about which languages to choose with localepurge.  The program itself recommends choosing both, for example, &quot;en_US&quot; and &quot;en&quot;. I am a British English speaker, so I went with &quot;en_GB&quot; (and &quot;en_GB-UTF-8&quot;) but could not find &quot;gb&quot; anywhere.
